Araneta Coliseum
The Araneta Coliseum is considered as the largest coliseum throughout Southeast-Asia. It is known as "The Big Dome". Araneta was all started by Don J. Amado in 1952. This was constructed in 1957 and finished in 1959. Since 1960-1963 until now, Araneta considered as the largest covered coliseum and the largest indoor facility in Asia with a diameter of 108 meters.
The coliseum was opened on March 16,1960 because Gabriel "Flash" Elorde will have a game boxing for the World Junior Lightweight. Also in 1975, the boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, and the Binibing Pilipinas pageant happened here. These were the first who used Araneta Coliseum.
In 1999, the coliseum was renovated with the amount of 200 million, and it was opened again the same year.
Today, the coliseum becomes more prominent and there are already many events happening here.
I wasn't able to interview anyone in the Araneta Coliseum because they didn't entertain us because they are too busy in their work especially today there will be UAAP game.
